Release Notes
DrawSplatTM v3.1.19 introduces AudioSplat as a production browser-based multitrack recorder and editor with effects, flexible audio export, optional Google Drive saving and sharing, and its own self-host package.
Classroom Tools
The release keeps audio local by default while adding an explicit, narrow Google Drive path when a user chooses cloud storage.
Record microphone or supported shared tab/device audio, place successive takes on new tracks, and move clips between tracks.
Select visible waveform ranges, split, trim, duplicate, delete, zoom long projects, and undo or redo changes.
Apply fades, amplification, EQ, echo, noise tools, normalization, reverb, silence, and silence truncation to selected audio.
Export MP3 and WAV plus Ogg/Opus, WebM/Opus, and M4A/AAC when the browser supports those encoders.
Authorize only drive.file, save an exported mix privately, and optionally create a share link and Drive preview iframe.
Recording, processing, tab-isolated autosave, portable projects, and downloads work locally without an account or backend.
AudioSplat now has its own self-host ZIP and is also included in the full DrawSplat and Tools packages.
The release includes SHA256SUMS-v3.1.19.txt for verifying all ZIP downloads.
The package model remains additive: unzip modules into the same web root and keep folder names unchanged. No installer or server-side linking step is required.
Highlights
Each new recording can land on a new track automatically, making do-overs and layered narration easier to manage.
The responsive six-language interface supports current Firefox, Chrome/Chromium, Safari, Android, iOS/iPadOS, Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS within each browser's media capabilities.
Import common browser-decodable audio files by picker, drag/drop, direct permitted URL, PWA file handling, or supported share targets, then export a mixed audio file.
An alphabetized Sound-Effect Sources menu links to curated libraries while retaining each source's licensing guidance.
Google Drive upload occurs only after an explicit user action, tokens stay in memory, and public sharing remains opt-in.
